We offer three (3) Nursing Programs on two (2) campuses... Childress and Pampa

Step 1: Entrance Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or Ability to Benefit Test

Step 2:  Introduction to Nursing

  • One Semester Program, includes CPR Certification / after successful completion, can test with the State of Texas for CNA Certificate / Provides an excellent foundation for a career in Nursing 

Step 3:  Vocational Nurse

  • One Year Program, 48 credit hours

Step 4:  Registered Nurse

  • One Year Program, 39 Credit Hours

Introduction to Nursing
 
  • APPLICATION always welcome
  • Classes start in mid-August each year. This program provides an excellent foundation for a career in Nursing.
  • No prerequisite classes are required 
  • CPR training is included in the program
  • Upon successful completion of this program, a person would be eligible to test for the Certified Nurse Assistance (CNA) certification through the State of Texas.
  • Limited Space available
  • Financial assistance available to those who qualify
    • The ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, nursing pre-admission Exam is required for all applicants and MUST BE TAKEN at Clarendon College only by proctored exam.
    • Testing will be held in June yearly, at the Pampa campus.

Vocational Nursing
  • Classes start in mid-January each year

CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATION

for the 2026 LVN Program

DEADLINE 9-25-25

 The ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, Nursing Pre-Admission Exam is required for all applicants and MUST BE TAKEN at Clarendon College only, by proctored exam.

 Testing will be held in October yearly, at the Pampa campus.

 Associate Degree in Nursing

  • ADN Bridge, LVN-to-RN Program, you MUST HAVE a current, non-encumbered TEXAS LVN License to apply
  • Classes start in May each year
  • One year program
  • 39 credit hours
  • No waiting period after successful LVN pathways completion
  • Completion of the following Pre-requisites classes required prior to TEAS testing in February each year for all new applicants.
    • BIOL 2301/2101 and BIOL 2302/2102 Anatomy & Physiology I & II w/labs (must achieve a grade of B, or greater in each of the 4 classes)
    • ENGL 1301 (must achieve a grade of C or greater)
  • Financial assistance available to those who qualify 
NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS for the
2025-2026 ADN PROGRAM
 

DEADLINE will be 2-12-2025

 The ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, nursing pre-admission Entrance Exam is required for all incoming applicants and MUST BE TAKEN at Clarendon College only.

Testing will be held in FEBRUARY yearly, at the Pampa, Tx campus.

RN to BSN

 

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Clarendon College and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) RN to BSN Early Decision Program. The articulation agreement between these schools will allow you to plan by making the early decision to attend the TTUHSC School of Nursing RN to BSN program.  Upon the successful completion of your ADN program and along with meeting the eligibility and admission requirements for the TTUHSC School of Nursing RN to BSN program, you can complete your BSN in as little as two semesters.
